Love is Patience

"Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous or boastful or proud or rude. It does not demand its own way. It is not irritable, and it keeps no record of being wronged. Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance." 1 Corinthians 13:4-7 NLT What is love?Based on scripture, love is patient first and foremost.Ok then, so what's patience? Resilience = Strength

What is strength? The capability to do something. We often associate strength with weight training or something like that, but I believe strength is a primary ingredient in a fulfilling Christian walk. Some similar words would be: toughness, steadfastness, firmness, courage, bravery, unwavering, and (my personal favorite) unshakable.     In a Christian walk strength could be demonstrated and perceived in so many ways. Motivated?

Ever felt unmotivated? Like no matter how hard you tried you couldn’t get yourself up to read that verse, read that book, journal, write that post? Me too and I’m pretty sure every other Christian girl.  I have recently hit that road block. Can you relate? If so, it's okay. For starters, it’s normal, don’t beat yourself up. Second, never give up! I know what you're thinking, that’s easier said than done especially in a season when we’re unmotivated. I get it!  However, it's important. I know how hard it is but keep showing up.  Remember that the Lord loves a...

Pride is dangerous

Pride is dangerous

Pride leads us away from the Lord. It causes us shame, and it plants seeds of fear and doubt. Pride to the soul is what high blood pressure is to the heart; a silent killer. Many have it and don’t realize it. Some have it, know it and don’t take the proper steps to control it. We’re living in a culture where pride is acceptable, and dare I say, cool. Everyone is so proud of themselves as if their accomplishments were accomplished by themselves. Last time I checked the Lord was in control of all things, and if we are...
