Motherhood

As some of you may know, the Lord recently blessed my husband and I with our first born. A beautiful baby boy. Yup! That's right! I can officially add cute cool boy mom to my resume! Ayyyy! I'm so excited!  No, really I 👏🏾  AM👏🏾  EXCITED! We've prayed for this for a long time and finally being able to see the fruits of that labor does something to ya girl's faith.  Queue Social Szn by Social Club Misfits. I'm about to level up! Temptation

If you do what is right, will you not be accepted? But if you do not do what is right, sin is crouching at your door; it desires to have you, but you must rule over it.” Genesis 4:7 NIVHaven't we all been here? Having sin crouching at our door; luring us, enticing us, tempting us to do what we know is wrong but also feels so right. I recently had a dream that men were trying to get in my house. The word had such negative connotations that it became an insult to me. Every time I heard it, I would cringe inside. It took me a very long time...

Perseverance = Endurance

What do you when the pressure is applied? How do you respond? Are you prone to giving up? Or do you keep going despite the difficulty?  I'll be the first to admit perseverance wasn't always in my vocabulary.  Nor did I actually want it to be. I figured as long as I tried a "little" that was good for me.  I used to think hard was ok (that's makes you a stronger person). But too hard? No can do! I didn't want any parts of it.  If things got too hard I'd immediately start to doubt it's godly authenticity, saying things...

Resilience = Strength

What is strength? The capability to do something. We often associate strength with weight training or something like that, but I believe strength is a primary ingredient in a fulfilling Christian walk.Some similar words would be: toughness, steadfastness, firmness, courage, bravery, unwavering, and (my personal favorite) unshakable.     In a Christian walk strength could be demonstrated and perceived in so many ways. We need strength to carry our crosses and follow the Lord, we need strength to die to ourselves daily and we need strength to contend for the faith (however that may look in your life). Contending for...
