Faith = Confidence

What is the Lord teaching you about confidence in Him?  It's important and mandatory to a successful Christian walk. It's exciting, overwhelming, and fulfilling all in one.  I haven't had much confidence in Him in the past but things are definitely changing. The confidence I would normally put in myself I now try to put in Him.   Frankly it's quite liberating! No longer do I have to worry about what's next, or how this bill will get paid, or how I'll forgive that person. I just take it all to Him.  And guess what? He prefers it that way!...

Love is Patience

"Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous or boastful or proud or rude. It does not demand its own way. It is not irritable, and it keeps no record of being wronged. It does not rejoice about injustice but rejoices whenever the truth wins out. Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance." 1 Corinthians 13:4-7 NLT What is love?Based on scripture, love is patient first and foremost.Ok then, so what's patience? Perseverance = Endurance

What do you when the pressure is applied? How do you respond? Are you prone to giving up? Or do you keep going despite the difficulty?  I'll be the first to admit perseverance wasn't always in my vocabulary.  Nor did I actually want it to be. I figured as long as I tried a "little" that was good for me.  I used to think hard was ok (that's makes you a stronger person). But too hard? No can do! I didn't want any parts of it.  If things got too hard I'd immediately start to doubt it's godly authenticity, saying things...

Resilience = Strength

What is strength? The capability to do something. We often associate strength with weight training or something like that, but I believe strength is a primary ingredient in a fulfilling Christian walk.Some similar words would be: toughness, steadfastness, firmness, courage, bravery, unwavering, and (my personal favorite) unshakable.     In a Christian walk strength could be demonstrated and perceived in so many ways. We need strength to carry our crosses and follow the Lord, we need strength to die to ourselves daily and we need strength to contend for the faith (however that may look in your life). Contending for...

Servant Heart

Christian Christian blog post Christian girl godly wife godly women Inspirational Christian blog Journal entry Ministry Servant Heart Serving Servitude Women's Women's ministry blog

Servant Heart

When you think of servanthood what comes to mind?  Who comes to mind?  Why?  I think of Ruth, King David, and Jesus to name a few.  Giving without the expectation of receiving. Ready and willing to give anything: time, money, food, shelter, etc.  Whatever is needed you give it and if you can't. Pray for the Lord to send someone that can.  When I think of a servant heart I think of a kind hearted person. A genuine, pure hearted person that wants to help people and love them the way our God intended.  I aspire to be such a...
